Reaching readers with relevant news is important, but through special sections, newspapers provide a chronicle and keepsake of local culture for the future. The sections I have worked on are diverse, from county fairs to graduation memories to commemorative editions for local celebrities, these publications are the heartbeat that unite the communities they serve with pride.
